In our continuous partnership with GE, Animech has created this VR application for GE’s R&D department. They wanted help to speed up their prototyping workflow, which previously consisted of creating cardboard or styrofoam mockups of new products. This application allows them to import CAD models, and immediately see the mockups in 1:1 scale in VR. They can then visualize how the new product would work together with existing products, try different arrangements, and so on.
I was responsible for modeling, lighting and creating materials for the lab environment, along with many of the props. I also helped out and made sure the GE products were imported and set up correctly. After the project finished, I made cinematics for a showreel.
