Animech Technologies’ close relationship with SKF has lead to many projects. This is one of them, a movie showing the benefits of SKF’s CARB bearing. We collaborated with Swedish Frames, where we did the 3D, and they did editing, post production and sound.
I did all of the 3D animations on the bearings, as well as the camera movements. I also did the fretting corrosion material on the bearing, as seen in the movie. Fun fact: the fretting corrosion material was made completely procedural, using a combination of multiple Noise and VRay dirt maps.
